Oracle Applications DBA (Consultancy) – Permanent, North Dublin

Oracle Applications DBA Role and Responsibilities:

• Vantage Resources are currently seeking a Oracle Applications DBA for a Permanent role based in Dublin for one of our clients based in the consultancy space.
• Carrying out general DBA duties including performance tuning, cloning, debug, backup and recovery etc.
• Undertake architecture and design work for various projects and customers.
• Design, development and testing of backup/recovery and Disaster Recovery solutions including cost estimates.
• Undertake installations, upgrades, migrations and patch management of Oracle E-Business Suite environments (Database and Application Server).
• Install and administer Fusion Middleware Products such as WebLogic, SOA Suite, and Oracle Data Integrator etc.
• Performing health checks of our customer environments and providing guidance on ways to improve their implementations
• Self-learning of Oracle technologies to ensure you can provide a consultative approach
• Support functional and technical consultants on change requests, projects and Oracle Service Requests
• Onsite and remote customer engagement on all aspects of the service

What you need:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with and implementing Oracle BI solutions
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Cloning and database upgrade experience.
• Experience implementing highly available databases using Oracle RAC.
• Experience of deploying Oracle in a virtualised environment.
• Experience installing and supporting Oracle WebLogic
• Experience of Oracle Enterprise Manager/Cloud Control
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
