Events Coordinator - Kildare - Osprey Hotel + Spa

Osprey Hotel & Spa are currently recruiting for a Full Time Events Coordinator to join the team on a Maternity Cover Contract.

The Hotel

The Osprey complex, located in Naas, Co. Kildare is within 35 minutes of Dublin City and it is close to all major routes. It includes the four-star Osprey Hotel, Soul Spa, Osprey Conference Centre, life:health + leisure and time:bar + venue.
The Osprey Hotel is of modern design with 104 bedrooms including suites, two penthouse suites with balconies. The hotel contains a spectacular foyer, glazed atria, mash: restaurant, Statler Bar + Waldorf Lounge, ballroom and conference centre.

The Role

The main purpose of the job is to handle and convert meeting and event requests from all potential clients’ while assisting and enabling employees under your control to consistently achieve products and service delivery standards and ensure a high degree of guest care.  The ideal candidate must have previous Hotel Event experience. The successful candidate must be very hard-working, have excellent organisational and administration skills, very strong attention to detail and have the ability to work on their own initiative. They will be a dynamic individual and a natural communicator with the ability to work steadily in a busy environment. A high level of customer care is essential.

Duties will include:

• Assist in managing the Conference, Banqueting and Events business unit's operations to ensure that the guest's experience consistently exceeds expectations.
• Manage the Conference, Banqueting and Events business unit's commercial activities so as to ensure that the financial returns are both in line with expectations and our industry peer group.
• Ensure the smooth running of the business unit and in accordance with the agreed Standard Operating Procedures, carry out post event reviews and amend and develop those operating procedures where applicable.
• To promote a helpful and professional image to the guest and give full co-operation to any guest requiring assistance, with a prompt, caring and helpful attitude.
• To maintain regular and effective communication within your team and at all levels.
• To work with the general manager, reservations manager and Sales and marketing manager to plan activities and packages to achieve budgets.
• To establish and manage a Meeting and Events database, assist the Sales Executive to proactively manage key accounts.

This is a Full Time Maternity Cover Contract.
